AI vendor price comparison

This AI vendor price comparison puts ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Copilot prices beside their different billing models. The table distinguishes assistant seats, a full Workspace suite and a Copilot add-on. Every published rate was verified against official vendor material on October 29, 2026. Your actual agreement, usage and eligible offer determine the complete bill.

ChatGPT vs Claude vs Gemini vs Copilot price: the table

Calculated in your browser. Nothing you enter leaves this page.

All amounts are U.S. dollars per paid license per month. Annual billing shows the monthly equivalent of an annual plan or commitment; monthly billing shows the monthly subscription or Google's Flexible Plan. These are standard or list rates, not temporary promotions.

Illustrative example: ten paid licenses in one model, unchanged for a year, with no extra usage. These separate scenarios are arithmetic examples, not equal-feature products or a recommendation to buy every model.

Selected billing basis: formula-visible 10-license examples; source rates verified October 29, 2026
ModelSeat or suite amount
ChatGPT Business Standard10 × US$20 × 12 = US$2,400/year under annual billing
Claude Team Standard10 × US$20 × 12 = US$2,400/year under annual billing
Google Workspace Business Standard10 × US$14 × 12 = US$1,680/year under an annual plan
Copilot Business add-on10 × US$21 × 12 = US$2,520/year under annual commitment

Each figure excludes taxes and additional usage. The Copilot amount also excludes the current add-on's qualifying base software; the Workspace amount is the whole suite, not an incremental Gemini charge. Monthly examples do not promise that the rate or required seat count will remain unchanged.

Estimate the seat commitment

Use separate counts for Standard and Premium seats. Formula: (Standard seats x Standard rate) + (Premium seats x Premium rate) = monthly equivalent; monthly equivalent x 12 = annual equivalent. A monthly plan's twelve-month total is a scenario, not an annual commitment.

Excluded from the seat subtotal: taxes, API usage, workspace credits, extra usage and separate base licenses. Google Workspace is a complete suite price. Copilot uses its add-on list price, with its base license excluded unless the separate scenario is shown.

ChatGPT's current 200-seat limit applies to workspaces created from August 24, 2026; older workspaces retain their previous limit. Official seat-limit scope, verified October 29, 2026.

How to read the table

Billing terms used here

Annual billing
A yearly payment schedule; this table also groups annual-commitment rates here, so confirm whether the vendor collects payment monthly or yearly.
Monthly billing
A monthly payment schedule; it does not itself establish a month-to-month contract or a right to reduce paid capacity.
Usage cap
A vendor-enforced limit on activity within a documented service, user group and period; a budget or alert does not prove that further spending stops.

ChatGPT Business and Claude Team offer Standard and Premium seat types. Google's Business Starter, Standard and Plus are separate Workspace editions, not interchangeable Standard and Premium assistant seats. Microsoft's current Copilot Business row is an add-on, not a complete base-software bundle.

Google publishes annual/Flexible monthly equivalents of US$7/US$8.40 for Business Starter and US$22/US$26.40 for Business Plus. Those whole-suite rates were verified October 29, 2026; compare the actual edition features before replacing the Standard row with another edition.

Enterprise pricing is not uniformly unpublished. Anthropic currently publishes a self-serve Enterprise seat charge with separately metered usage; other configurations require their own commercial check. Read each vendor guide instead of extrapolating an Enterprise contract from the small-team table.

Current Copilot add-ons require eligible base software. Microsoft has announced a new purchase offer without the base-subscription purchase prerequisite from December 1, 2026; capabilities within particular Microsoft applications still depend on the services licensed. Confirm the exact offer rather than treating all Copilot purchases as identical.

Use AI seat versus usage pricing to separate access, extra usage and the rest of the commitment.

Which billing model fits your firm

  • If the firm already needs a productivity suite, distinguish its existing commitment from the incremental cost of another assistant.
  • If particular users need higher capacity, price the actual Standard/Premium mix rather than assigning the highest tier to everyone.
  • If API or automated activity drives the workload, estimate that activity in its own units and verify whether budgets alert, stop work or apply only to particular services.
  • If a contract or purchase channel changes, recheck eligibility, renewal terms and the effective date of each setting.

No overall winner follows from this table. Compare ChatGPT cost for business, Claude pricing for business, Gemini AI cost for business and Copilot versus ChatGPT cost against the work your firm needs.

Keep these prices current

This page's price verification date is October 29, 2026. AccruePilot's maintenance rule is to recheck or remove any quoted vendor rate before it becomes more than 90 days old. Always confirm the current offer and agreement before a purchasing decision.

A published monthly equivalent does not erase an annual commitment. Record the currency, term, paid capacity and any promotion expiry alongside the amount.

Questions about the comparison

Which vendor is cheapest?

Compare the required workflow and complete commitment before choosing. A suite price, an add-on price and a standalone assistant seat are not equivalent purchases, and variable usage can change the total.

Do these prices include taxes?

The examples exclude applicable taxes and separately billed usage or other charges. Check the current checkout or agreement for the firm's currency, location and commercial terms.

What is the cost most firms miss?

There is no established single answer for every firm. Check required base software, additional usage, unused purchased capacity and annual commitments separately, then reconcile them with the actual agreement.
